I wanted to know how many people were using the internet to file their income tax. At the library I have many patrons attempting to do this and as far as the library is concerned the younger patron is way ahead of the older patron in doing their taxes online. However, my survey showed the opposite. I realized after I had completed my survey that the people I used in the survey were older professionals and educators. So my survey sample was not the cross section that it should have been.
HYPOTHESISINTERNET USE The older a person is, the less likely they will be inclined to electronically file their income tax.
